Town Level 8
The town of Riverward is a moderately sized town of 3500 inhabitants. The town is somewhat more well appointed than other similarily sized towns due to the fact that it is an important transshipment point in the Grindtooth mountains. From it’s site on the river Grath it is well positioned as a crossroads for goods coming from east of the continent of Farouk either to the north to Wintermoor or to the south to Beldath and beyond into the interior of the continent. and vice versa.
There are a lot of warehouses as befits it’s role as a transshipment point some are well kempt and others are more dilapidated. There is a small but thriving guild area that caters mostly to traders and the warehouse owners.
Industry in the town is limited. Fixing wagons and riverbarges is the bread and butter. A small armoury provides arms and armour to the militia and to caravan guards. There is some gem trade in the town from a couple of small, almost artizanal gem mines in the surrounding mountains
Typical encounters are thieves guild or Whisperwind Society in town and in the surroundings there are dragons and drakes as well as trolls, orcs. and giants.
